The Pueblo County Democratic Party met today to fill the County Commissioner seat left open by Jeff Chostner who's moving on to be the new District Attorney.
Several candidates had three minutes each to convince delegates to vote for them.
After two votes, the winner with 53% of the vote was Sal Pace.
Pace says he's proven before how hard he will work for Pueblo and adds he'll do it again with a vision for the county.
"A vision that we can budget responsibly, pay employees a livable wage while respecting the taxpayers' investment," said Sal Pace.
He also included clean water and focusing on small businesses as part of his plan for the future.
