BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Edgar Castaneda's 30-yard field goal as time expired gave Sacramento State a stunning 30-28 win over Colorado on Saturday.

It's the second straight season the Big Sky Conference's Hornets (1-1) have won at a Pac-12 stadium. They upset Oregon State 29-28 in overtime in last year's opener.

This stunner dropped the Buffaloes (0-2) to 1-2 against FCS-level opponents. They also lost to Montana State at home in 2006 and edged Eastern Washington by a touchdown two years later.

The Hornets got the ball at their own 15 with 2:26 left and marched downfield for the game-winner by Castaneda, after which wide receiver Austin Dotson did a series of backflips as his teammates swarmed the field in celebration.

The Hornets were coming off a 30-point loss at New Mexico State last week.
