COLORADO SPRINGS - Students at Russell Middle School in Colorado Springs had the chance to take part in the First Lady Michelle Obama's "Lets Move" initiative. Forty students from the school danced simultaneously with schools from across the country to Beyonce's "Let's Move." Teachers from the middle school were excited the students were able to take part in creating awareness of a growing problem, childhood obesity. "It's hugely important with our obesity rate around the United States, it's just become a huge problem so to get the kids constantly moving instead of just sitting in front of the tv, playing video games. It's huge. It's just going to help there health from here to the rest of their lives," said Russell Middle School dance instructor Katie Reynolds. The school was chosen through the National Association of Broadcasters and News First 5 to participate in the event.
