Runyon Lake closed due to spill

Runyon Lake in Pueblo is closed as Hazardous Materials crews clean up a spill of diesel fuel.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office reports about 100 gallons of diesel fuel spilled into the storm sewer system overnight and eventually made its way to Runyon Lake, located near I-25 and just north of the Arkansas River.

The Pueblo City-County Health Department reminds everyone there is no threat to the Pueblo water supply because Pueblo's water is taken out of the river several miles upstream.
