Rocky Mountain park proposes new water system

Rocky Mountain National Park plans to use federal stimulus money to replace part of the water system for a lodge once used for employee housing.
Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson says the cost of the Onahu Lodge project hasn't been determined yet.
Patterson says the lodge was deemed unsafe for occupants several years ago because of mold and unsafe plumbing issues. A new water system is needed to comply with state health regulations for potable water and the national fire safety code before the lodge
can be used for housing again.
The plan includes a water storage tank outside wilderness areas.
The park is accepting public comment on the proposal through Feb. 16.
