Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory in Colorado Springs has created a special nativity scene made out of, you guessed it, chocolate!
The creation made from 100% milk chocolate is complete with a manger, angels, the Three Wise Men, the Virgin Mary and of course, Baby Jesus.
Although it's completely made of chocolate no one will get to try it, "Some people are worried that it might be a little sacrilegious so this is only for display just like any other manger, no ones going to be eating it," explains owner Maize Baalman.
The nativity scene will be displayed at the 2010 Colorado Springs Christmas Crèche Exhibit and Concert, this Friday and Saturday. The event is at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Springs, located near the intersection of Powers Blvd. and Research Pkwy. On Friday the exhibit is open from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
The event is open to the public and admission is free with a requested donation of two canned goods for Care and Share Food Bank.
