Rockies Search for Next Manager Down to Two Candidates

According to a major-league source, the Colorado Rockies have narrowed the search for their next manager to two candidates, Walt Weiss and Matt Williams.
Rockies owner Dick Monfort, general manager Dan O'Dowd and senior vice president of major-league operations Bill Geivett will meet in Indian Wells, CA, at the annual general managers' meeting to make a final call. The two-day meeting starts Wednesday. A final decision is expected soon.
