Rock mitigation to cause delays on Hwy. 24 Monday & Tuesday

Starting at 9 a.m. Monday and continuing Tuesday, CDOT will begin a rockfall mitigation project on a stretch of Highway 24 west of Cave of the Winds.  There will be periodic lane closures in both directions through the area until work is completed each day at 3 p.m.  Commuters should plan on delays or find an alternate route.

CDOT says they are being proactive in removing some potentially dangerous rocks near the highway, following a summer of heavy rainfall.
