Rob Quirk has been a primary News Anchor for News 5 since 1989. During his long tenure at KOAA, Rob has covered numerous national breaking news stories such as the Waldo Canyon fire, the Aurora theater shooting tragedy as well as the Columbine massacre and Oklahoma City bombing trial of Timothy McVeigh. Rob has also won a number of industry awards, such as Best News Anchor, Best News Reporting and Broadcast Citizen of the Year.
Rob was born in Lockport, New York, a small town outside of Buffalo. He attended Arizona State University, where he received a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 1982
Rob lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and two daughters. Like most people in Southern Colorado, Rob enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and golf. He is also an avid Rockies fan and enjoys spending time with his family.
