A driver is facing charges after deputies say he hit a road worker in El Paso County.
The sheriff's office says 70 year-old Harrison Wayne Holmes of Colorado Springs became angry with the wait time on Judge Orr Road yesterday.
He began arguing with one worker and attempted to hit him. The worker avoided the man, but he did clip a 45-year-old female worker with his side mirror after construction workers blocked his path.
The woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Holmes was arrested on two counts of Criminal Attempt-Vehicular Assault, Reckless Driving and Failure to Obey Instructions of Flag Person.
