A construction project on Tejon between Vermijo and Constilla downtown will cause traffic problems from Friday through Sunday night.
Work crews will be installing underground pipes which will connect the Robert L. Russell Professional Building to the County's Central Utilities Plant.
"Connecting the Russell building to the C.U.P. will result in significant energy savings for many years to come," said Deputy County Administrator Monnie Gore. "It also allows us to remove a number of old, inefficient air conditioning units on the roof of the building which are well beyond their useful life expectancy."
Traffic flow will return to normal in time for start of the work week Monday morning.
