Traffic problems are expected for more than a month on Murray Boulevard in Colorado Springs.
Beginning Monday night, Aug. 9, and continuing through September, Colorado Springs Utilities crews will be working to replace an aging cast iron water main underneath Murray Boulevard, between Platte Avenue and Galley Road. The old water main will be replaced with a new 8" diameter PVC pipe to improve water service reliability in the area.
The project will close the affected portion of Murray Boulevard in both directions, between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists who normally use this portion of Murray Boulevard during the hours of construction, should plan alternate routes. Residential and business access will still be permitted.
