Riverwalk bridge design honored

The new Veteran's Bridge at the Pueblo Riverwalk has been given a Gold Hat Award for Outstanding Engineering Design.

The competition honors the best construction projects in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and the Dakotas. Judging is based on innovation, craftsmanship, construction challenges and overall excellence.

The Veterans' Bridge, just south of the Pueblo Convention Center, honors veterans from the Pueblo area. It is scheduled to be dedicated on November 11, 2010.
