Rio Grande Railroad adds historic New Orleans cars

The Rio Grande Scenic Railroad will kick off its season on May 27 with the addition of two historic passenger cars from the famed City of New Orleans train that ran from Chicago to New Orleans until the 1970s.
The club cars are the historic Mardi Gras and the Calumet. Steve Goodman wrote the song "City of New Orleans" in the 1970s after riding the train.
The train runs a route from Alamosa to La Veta and back.
