Two Colorado State University associate professors have received a $325,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to study emissions produced from algae as a biofuel.

Anthony Marchese and Azer Yalin are both associate professors in mechanical engineering. The two are working with Jeff Collett in CSU's atmospheric chemistry department and John Volckens in environmental and radiological health sciences.

The scientists will research how oxides of nitrogen are produced from biofuel.
