Emergency crews have rescued someone from the old incline railway above Manitou Springs for the third time in four days.

A man fell Monday afternoon and was impaled on a piece of re-bar, a steel rod used in concrete work and construction. Witnesses said the man, described as in his 50s, was coming down the steepest part of the trail when he lost his footing and fell on a piece of metal.

A couple of Fort Carson soldiers gave first aid until El Paso County Search and Rescue workers arrived.
