Rep. Jared Polis has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the powerful House Judiciary Committee.
The first-term democrat represents the 2nd congressional district.
Polis said Wednesday that he will keep his seats on the Rules, Education and Labor Committee, and the Democratic Steering Committee.
