Renovation begins for Lake Avenue

Construction is underway on a twelve-million-dollar project to transform Lake Avenue in Pueblo. Four lanes of traffic will be permanently reduced to just two lanes. They also plan to add street parking and expand sidewalks.
The goal is to attract more businesses and people to the area which has become rundown over the past couple of decades.
The Urban Renewal Authority is overseeing the project. The construction runs from Pueblo Boulevard to Saint Mary-Corwin Hospital.
