Reggie Rembert and Anthony Wright could be called the dynamic duo of Air Force football. They just may be the best cornerback tandem in the Mountain West Conference.

Rembert, a senior from Flower Mound, Texas, was named first team Mountain West last season. Wright a junior from Cleveland was named second team at the end of last season. They were part of the reason the Falcons led the nation in defense last year.

This year both are preseason All-Conference picks but Rembert told News First 5 Sports Director Lee Douglas, "It feels good but we're a team and I'm ready to get into more team goals."

Wright says the compliment each other very well on the field. "We both bring different things to the table and because of that we'll both see some balls headed our way," said Wright.

Falcons' safety Jon Davis has high praise for his teammates. "They are the best cornerback tandem that I've ever played with and that says a lot," Davis told Douglas.

Air Force secondary coach Charlton Warren added, "I don't know how they stack up but I know I love them and wouldn't trade them for anybody else."

The Falcons open the season at home on September 4 against Northwestern State.
