The El Paso County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at KRDO TV in Colorado Springs which lead them to the location of Hanif Sims and Monique Lynch.

Lynch had communicated by phone and Facebook with a KRDO reporter, as well as by Facebook with News First 5.

A search warrant for computer records was served at KRDO's Colorado Springs office on Tuesday. Through an IP address search investigators were able to figure out the location of Lynch and Sims, wanted in connection with the death of Genesis Sims. Her body was found in the crawl space of a home in Monument last May.

A detective told News First Lynch had led KRDO to believe they were still in Los Angeles, when in fact they had moved to Nevada.

Lynch and Sims were arrested overnight at a motel by Las Vegas authorities.
