TODAY: Weather across Colorado for busiest travel day of the year is going to be mostly sunny, dry and VERY warm! Temps today in both Colorado Springs and Pueblo will be right around the record highs! High today in the Springs will be 73...that would tie the record. Pueblo could reach 79 degrees...one degree above the all-time high! If you are flying out of DIA or Colorado Springs airports we expect no delays due to the weather. The only spot around the country that will be unsettled and could have some slow travel is in the Pacific Northwest.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and a bit milder overnight thanks to a cool front that is approaching. Overnight low temps drop to only 38 in the Springs and 32 in Pueblo.
THANKSGIVING: That cool front arrives tomorrow morning to start your holiday so temps tomorrow are expected to be about 10-12 degrees cooler compared to today. Skies will be dry tomorrow with abundant sunshine and highs of 61 in the Springs and 67 in Pueblo. From our family at News 5 to yours...have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!
FRIDAY: It is going to be a very cold start to the post holiday shopping rush. Black Friday temps will be in the lower 20's in the Springs and Pueblo to start the morning! By afternoon we'll only see highs in the upper 40's in the Springs to around 50 at Ft. Carson. Pueblo, Canon City, La Junta and Trinidad will only be in the lower 50's. Good news is that skies will be mostly sunny again which will make it feel a little warmer.
SATURDAY: Speaking of warmer...temps to start the weekend will warm at least 15 degrees compared to Friday. Skies will be sunny and dry and that will be the case around the entire state for any plans you might have to travel after the holiday.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny skies and still dry to end the weekend. Temps will be about 6-8 degrees cooler...but still much warmer than average. By late in the day we'll expect increasing clouds as the next cold front races into eastern Colorado.
MONDAY: Your back to work forecast will be much cooler, cloudier and actually include a chance of a shower or two. Chances for all of us by later in the day and evening will only be about 20%...any showers that do pop-up will be mostly light. High temps will only reach 42 in Colorado Springs and 48 in Pueblo. By Monday night and in to Tuesday morning temps will drop all the way to middle teens with the chance of a light snow showers possible.
