A man bitten by a rattlesnake in El Paso County Tuesday night had a "significant reaction" to the bite, requiring that he be airlifted to the hospital. He was taken to Penrose Main in Colorado Springs.
The snake bite happened on La Plano Pt. in Hanover, just after 10:30 pm, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. An earlier report that it happened on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo was not correct.
The man's name and his condition are unknown at this time.
