Rampart cheerleader is Athlete of the Week

This week's Loaf 'N Jug Aquafina Athlete of the Week is Rampart cheerleader Kira Hietula.
Kira is a 17-year old senior and is captain of the Rams cheerleading team. Rampart placed first in its league last year and earned a top-20 finish at the state level.
Kira says her team's goal this year is a top-ten ranking.
"A lot of it is, it's a lot more athletic than everybody thinks it is," said Kira. "We have to work. Football players have to lift weights, but we have to throw people ten feet in the air every day and we have to push our bodies in positions that we normally wouldn't."
Kira is also a phenomenal student. She has a 4.5 weighted GPA and is heavily involved in the I.B. program. She spends time volunteering and her dream is to attend the University of Chicago next year where she hopes to study psychology and forensics.
