Expect quiet conditions over Southern Colorado overnight and for the first half of Sunday. Clouds will be on the increase Sunday afternoon as a disturbance approaches the state from the north. This system will bring areas of rain and snow to the region as early as Sunday afternoon for northern areas. The precipitiation which will change over to all snow overnight Sunday as it moves south.
The eastern mountains look to pick up 3 to 6 inches of new snow Sunday night through Monday morning. Areas along I-25 from Denver to Trinidad are in line to pick up 1 to 2 inches of snow. This includes Monument, Colorado Springs, and Pueblo. Snowfall totals range from a trace to an inch for the Eastern Plains overnight Sunday.
Skies will eventually clear out later in the day Monday though temperatures will be cool. The weather looks nice and dry, comfortable, and generally sunny for the remainder of the workweek.
