Rain showers are in today's forecast, but the rain is going to spotty in nature and a lot of us will probably stay dry.
The best chance for rain will be with an upslope flow on the Palmer Divide. That means areas like Colorado Springs, Monument, and Calhan are most likely to see the rain, but even in those areas the rain may be spotty and not fall everywhere.
South of Highway 24 (Woodland Park to Colorado Springs to Limon), in areas including Pueblo, Canon City, La Junta, Lamar, and Springfield, most areas will stay dry with a very small chance for any rain.
Temperatures will be cooler, but today will be muggier with highs in the 70's and 80's across the area. In higher elevations from Monument to Woodland Park and Cripple Creek, highs will be in the 60's.
The mugginess will go away, but the cooler air will stay in place into this weekend.
