*Red Flag Warning* continues through 8pm Monday evening for large portion of southern Colorado.
A *Fire Weather Watch* is in effect for parts of Alamosa, Custer, Huerfano, Las Animas, Pueblo Rio Grande and Saguache counties Tuesday.
Breezy conditions will continue through the overnight hours, especially in higher terrain west of I-25.
Mostly sunny skies should prevail Tuesday, with occasional smoke from wildfires, however the wind should not be as brisk as it has been in recent days. Highs will generally be in the upper 80°s to upper 90°s.
We finally start to see a chance of thunderstorms in the forecast starting Friday. It still isn't a great chance. There is also a chance some of the thunderstorms could be dry meaning gusty winds and lightning will be the main product.
Medium range computer models are showing slightly "cooler" weather later in the week and over the weekend. However, long range computer models continue to show a period of dry and hot conditions July 7-22 for much of Colorado. Stay tuned... - Meteorologist John Dissauer
