Rachael Flatt wins Celebrity Sports Apprentice

The votes are in and Rachael Flatt is the winner of the first ever News First 5 "Celebrity Sports Apprentice." Hundreds of News First 5 viewers voted and the results were very close but the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating champ is the winner followed closely by Air Force hockey coach Frank Serratore, Air Force football coach Troy Calhoun, and Manitou Springs football coach and former Bronco Justin Armour.

All four took their turns as guest celebrity sportscasters on News First 5 last week. They worked with News First 5 Sports Director Lee Douglas and Jordan Mason in the afternoon. That was followed by a question and answer session live on air, and then the all important solo sportscast from the anchor desk.

Voting was done on-line at NewsFirst5.com. And in the opinion of the majority of the viewers Rachael, a graduate of Cheyenne Mountain high school, was the favorite. Based on feedback during the voting we have also determined the following honorary awards.

Most Knowledgeable - Troy Calhoun
Most Enthusiastic - Justin Armour
Most Entertaining - Frank Serratore

Thanks to all four for participating and for being such great sports. For more details check out the most recent blog from Lee Douglas at www.LeeDouglasSports.com.
