The City of Pueblo Stormwater Division will host a seminar on January 27 in hopes of cutting down on the amount of trash that gets into the storm drain system.
Louise Bosche, City of Pueblo Stormwater Inspector, said simply, "If it's not stormwater, it does not belong in the system. Rainwater and snowmelt are two examples of storm water." Storm water runoff is separate from the sanitary sewer system, and contrary to popular belief, is not treated at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The Stormwater Seminar is free, with space for about 100 people. For more information, you can contact Bosche at 719-553-2291 or 719-553-2299 or visit the City of Pueblo Stormwater Utility web page.
The seminar will be held at the Pueblo Convention Center's Fortino Grand Hall A and will run from 8 to 11 a.m.
