SALINA, Kan. (AP) - Kansas officials say bus service will begin Nov. 9 between Salina and Wichita and from Wichita through southwest Kansas and into Colorado.
The Department of Transportation says it's using about $2 million to help Wichita-based Prestige Bus Lines buy new buses and cover expenses associated with the two routes.
The company plans to provide two daily roundtrips from Salina to Wichita, with stops in Lindsborg, McPherson and Newton.
It plans one daily roundtrip between Wichita and Pueblo, Colo.
Other stops on that route in Kansas are Hutchinson, Dodge City, Garden City and Syracuse.
In Colorado, there will be stops in Granada, Lamar, Las Animas, La Junta, Rocky Ford and Fowler.
