Pueblo SWAT to be restructured

The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team of the Pueblo Police Department is being restructured.
The size of the unit has been cut in half and those members have been selected. The team is part-time with the Officers assigned to various Divisions and Units of the Department but with the capability to form as one unit during crisis. Restructuring was recommended in a recent consultant's report about problems in the Pueblo Police Department.
The unit will undergo initial operational training and will then be placed on a recurrent training schedule to maintain their proficiency.
