Bad economic news for Pueblo, the city's tax revenues have fallen for the fourth year in a row. Last year's tax revenues were $40 million, which is down close to $2 million since 2007.
The city's finance director says sales tax revenues have remained relatively flat. Worse, tax collected from residential and commercial construction has fallen drastically close to 30% within the past year.
The city says the lower tax revenues will make it difficult to make any adjustments to this year's budget.
