Trumpets are blaring in Pueblo. The Sun City Marching Band is back for its 29th year. The city band is made up of kids in 7th, 8th and 9th grades.

They're a dedicated bunch. They practice Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Mineral Palace Park. The band also performs in several parades across the state. This weekend the band is traveling to a parade in Douglas County.

You may recall, Pueblo's high school band "Price City" ended this year after 50 years, but Sun City is about 60-members strong.
