Pueblo Police Chief Jim Billings is retiring. According to a news release from the department, he'll step down February 16, 2011. The date coincides with his 36th anniversary as a police officer in Pueblo.
Billings was appointed to the position of Chief of Police on October 5, 1998 and will have completed 12 years as the chief by the date of his retirement.
The Pueblo native and his wife plan to stay active in the community, travel and spend more time with family.
