PUEBLO - Following Monday's tragedy involving a 3-year-old girl, the Pueblo Police Department is reminding everyone they are giving away free gun locks.
According to Sgt. Eric Gonzales, the gun locks are important for any home with kids around, especially young kids. He said its hard for parents to watch over their kids all the time, so the gun lock acts as a back.
Gonzales said its important to still talk to you kids about gun safety, because even though you have a gun lock, doesn't mean the parents of the child's friends do.
We also spoke with a few parents who showed up at the police department to pick a free gun lock. Here what they have to say about it coming up at 5 and 6.
