Pueblo man arrested in Canon City internet sex sting

A Pueblo man was arrested in Canon City in an internet sex sting. Christopher Mallory Choate, 27, was arrested Monday by members of the Fremont County Combined Investigative Response team (CIRT).

Choate is believed to have traveled to Cañon City to meet with a 14 year old female for sex. Cañon City Police were contacted by a concerned parent who was suspicious of e-mails found on her daughter's computer.

Choate has been charged with the following felonies:

Criminal Attempt
Sexual Assault on a Child
Internet Luring of a Child
Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child
