Pueblo man arrested for suspected DUI accident

A Pueblo woman was seriously injured during a suspected drunk driving accident that happened along the US Hwy 50 bypass in Pueblo County late Friday night.
The Colorado State Patrol reports that the driver, 36 year-old Bill Riggs of Pueblo, was headed east on Hwy 50 near 23rd Lane when he lost control of his 1990 Ford F-150 pick up, went off the road and hit a mailbox before striking a concrete culvert.
Troopers say Riggs the left the scene on foot but was later taken into custody and sent to Parkview Hospital where he was treated for moderate injuries.
His passenger, Krystal Adkins, 24 was also take to Parkview with serious injuries. It's unknown whether she was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers believe alcohol was a factor in the accident.
