The City of Pueblo will receive $14.8 million from a state tourism grant program. That was announced this afternoon in Denver.
Pueblo had asked for $34 million to help pay for a major expansion project at the Pueblo Riverwalk including an expanded convention center, an aquatics center and a training facility for professional bullriders.
The money comes from the State Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
State Representative Sale Pace (D-Pueblo) says there's enough money to pay for an expansion of the Riverwalk, an expansion of the convention center and a practice facility for bullriding.
