PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - Pueblo District Attorney Jeff Chostner is asking for an additional $30,000 from the county to beef up security at the 10th Judicial District Attorney's Office building.
Chostner says the request has been in the works for months and he said it isn't a reaction to the recent killings of a Texas district attorney and Colorado prisons director Tom Clements.
According to the Pueblo Chieftain, officials want more security for the receptionist area and the outside of the building.
