A retired couple in Pueblo has found sweet success out of their love for salsa.
Linda Gale created a seasoning mix, that when added to a can of diced tomatoes, makes instant salsa. She's made fresh salsa for years, but wanted a faster way to make it.
In the beginning Linda and her husband Gary grew the ingredients in their garden. But as sales grew, they had to expand their operations. Now, with online sales, they have customers all over the country.
"Well he's a sweetheart (my husband) retired from the railroad and he went to work for me," said Linda Gale, owner of Nana Lynn's Salsa. "We just go do craft shows and the only work part is setting up and we just have a lot of fun, love to visit with people," she added.
You can find Nana Lynn's Salsa at a kiosk inside the Pueblo Mall. By the way, the couple says the seasoning can also be used mixed with sour cream to make instant dip. The cost for one package of the seasoning is $6.
