An electrical problem caused problems around 9:30 Friday morning at the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office Communications Center, which caused phones to stop working, including incoming 911 calls.
Emergency calls were then routed to the Pueblo City Communications Center, a separate facility at the Pueblo Police Department. Citizens are asked to hold any requests for non-emergency information and any non-emergency calls for service until these systems are fully restored.
"There is currently no estimated time of repair for the systems but backup plans are in place and went into effect without a hitch as soon as our 911 folks noticed a problem," said Sheriff Kirk Taylor.
