Pueblo coroner will lend hand in Vietnam

Pueblo County Coroner James Kramer is once again helping people hundreds of miles away. Next week he'll travel to Vietnam to help sick orphans. Kramer is volunteering with the group Vets with a Mission.

"We'll be seeing children in orphanages, screening them for eye problems, cardiac problems, acute care," said Kramer.

You may recall Kramer also volunteered to help identify bodies following the terrorist attacks in New York City on September 11.

In 2005, Kramer also traveled to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, to help in the recovery efforts of those who died.

"I have been fortunate to be given a certain set of skills and the ability to those skills and I think it is incumbent of me to give back and this is a way to give back," said Kramer.

Kramer, who is also a physician's assistant, says he'll spend about two weeks in Vietnam.
