Pueblo Community Health Center opens new clinic

Pueblo Community Health Center is celebrating the grand opening of its newest and largest medical clinic.
The 41,000 sq. ft. building is located on 300 Colorado Ave. The new clinic is four times as big as the old one, which is located across the street.
Pueblo Community Health Center serves about 20,000 people--half of whom don't have insurance. They say the biggest advantage--they'll be able to help an additional 6,000 patients in the coming years. "The community is so excited about this because Pueblo Community Health Center has a waiting list of over 2,000 patients right now," said Janet Fieldman, Chief Development Officer for the Pueblo Community Health Center. "We have built this building in mind to last for at least 20 years."
The new building is powered in part by solar panels.
The old clinic will be renovated into a pharmacy.
