Part of President Obama's budget includes funding for the Pueblo Chemical Depot. The more than $200 million dollars will fund the destruction of the weapons stored there by the deadline of 2017.

U.S. Senators Mark Udall and Michael Bennet say they believed the funding will make it through the budget process.

Senator Doug Lamborn isn't as sure. Senator Lamborn tells News First 5 it's premature to count on the money at this early stage of the budget process.

Senator Bennet says the money has been a long time coming after years of delays.

The President's budget also includes funding for a Veterans Cemetery here in Southern Colorado. We'll watch both of these budget items for you as Congress goes through the approval process.
