Public high schools in the U.S. reach a milestone

WASHINGTON (AP) - Researchers say 1 of every 5 high school students still ends up without a diploma, but the concern is tempered by the 80 percent graduation rate, a milestone achievement. Based on that progress, as well as improving graduation rates for African-American and Hispanic students, researchers are projecting a 90 percent national graduation rate by 2020. The report is being presented today at the Building a GradNation Summit.
