Public hearing tonight on same sex benefits for city workers

Pueblo City Council will hold a public hearing tonight to decide whether to city workers should receive same-sex couple benefits. The issue was brought before council in August, but was later tabled. If approved the ordinance would allow gay and lesbian workers to add their partners onto their insurance plans.

The public hearing will take place at 7 p.m. at Interim City Hall, located at 301 W. B St. City council is expected to vote on the ordinance following that hearing.
