Psychiatrist: Suspect in soldier death delusional

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A forensic psychiatrist says a man who confessed to shooting two soldiers outside a Little Rock military recruiting station suffers from a delusionary disorder.

Dr. Shawn Agharkar testified Friday that Abdulhakim Muhammad has delusions of grandeur and thinks he's being persecuted.

Muhammad is charged with capital murder for killing Pvt. William Andrew Long and attempted capital murder for wounding Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula in 2009.

His defense attorneys argue he's not guilty because of a mental disease or defect. Muhammad and prosecutors disagree.

If convicted, Muhammad could be sentenced to death.
