Propane tank explodes, ignites a car fire and burns one person

Colorado Springs Fire Department crews were on scene quickly to a vehicle fire in the 3500 block of Colony Hills Road. Initial reports are saying that a propane tank may have exploded which also ignited a fire in a vehicle which was fully involved when crews arrived.

One person was burned in the fire and was transported in stable condition to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished.

The fire did not extend into the home that the vehicle was parked next to.
