Program saves dogs and teens

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Troubled teens and potentially troublesome animals. In Toledo, Ohio, it's a winning combination. The Blade newspaper reports there's a program that pairs teens with dogs who haven't been able to attract people to adopt them. The teens and pooches work together - with the youngsters using training methods to improve the dogs' behavior, getting some to be less jittery and some to become more social. And it isn't just the dogs who benefit. One teen says learned how to cope with bullying by teaching dogs how to straighten up their act so they could get placed in new homes.
