Proby Parkway progress report

Crews for the Milton E. Proby Parkway project say they have reached their first major milestone, and ahead of schedule.

Weather permitting, a portion of the new parkway will open Friday morning, sometime after 9 a.m., two days ahead of the contractor's (Ames Construction) deadline. The portion is between Hancock Expressway and Powers Boulevard. That section has been closed since early June.
