Prison bosses meet in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - More than 500 delegates from 72 countries are attending a week-long conference of prison officials in Colorado Springs.

The prison bosses are looking at ideas for reducing a world prison population of more than 10 million inmates.

The Denver Post reports prison terms for drug crimes is one of the main topics of this year's meeting as a way to reduce prison overcrowding.
